TransJoy KC provides opportunities for community connection and collective support for transgender and gender non-conforming residents (and visitors) of all ages in the Kansas City Metro Area.
We are committed to facilitating joy in the trans experience above all else by providing a restorative space for our community to build resilience.

TransJoy KC’s events are open to trans and gender non-conforming people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities, regardless of financial or social status. There are no requirements other than to show up as your authentic self!

TransJoy KC is run by local trans & gender non-conforming volunteers. TransJoy KC is funded by donations from generous individuals, larger LGBTQ+ organizations, and supportive businesses. Visit the About Us pages for more info about our leadership team and financial reports!

TransJoy KC builds an atmosphere of acceptance, where everyone can present as their true selves without fear of harassment. Attendees are encouraged to slow down and rest through activities such as creating art and being in nature. We curate a culture of community care and accountability through our policies such as by maintaining COVID-19 precautions and holding our volunteers to a high standard of conduct.
